About us
Proctor and King began with a problem and no good way to solve it. Conversations about land, money, and family are always thorny, and they're almost always someone's first, whether as a child, a parent, or a sibling. It was out of the founder's experience with his own family that this firm's mission took shape: to give families, organizations, and governments a clearer, more considered way for these conversations to happen. It's from these family ties, the Proctors and the Kings, that the firm takes its name and values.
We can't do our work without professionals like attorneys, foresters, and real estate agents. But we aim to be in the conversation while the what and the why are still forming, so that clients arrive at those professionals already clear on what they want and why, and the professionals can execute the how with the excellence they're known for.
Our goal is for these conversations to become the positive, lasting changes our clients need, instead of the quagmires they so often become.
